How to read the meter
One line per item. Green ones are remaining, light ones are sold.
Above each item in a drop is a row of dashes. One dash per item. That's the whole counter, and it's no more complicated than that.
Green dashes are remaining. Light dashes are sold.
If six out of ten dashes are green, six items remain. The counter is taken directly from the stock balance and is updated every time the page loads — so it's not an illustration of scarcity, it's the actual stock.
Why we show it at all
So you can make the decision yourself. A drop with three remaining and a drop with thirty remaining are two completely different situations, and you should be able to see which one you're in without having to write and ask us.
What we never do with it
We don't add dashes that don't exist. We don't remove dashes prematurely to rush you. There's no "12 people are watching right now" next to it, because that's not information — it's pressure disguised as information.
When the last dash goes out
Then the item is sold out in the drop and returns to its regular price. The counter is not reset or refilled. How a drop works.
